Perfins were used as a security device by private companies to make sure that their postage stamps were only used for official business. There is a specialty catalog, I believe for these German perfins though I do not have one.
If you know the German language (unfortunately I don't know) search on Google "Firmenlochung perfin"
I found on the website www.arge-lochungen.de/katalog an offer for a catalog (unfortunately access is no longer free)
Many informations on site "philaseiten.de"...search:Perfins-dieFirmenlochungen.
And just or the sake of completeness, the sobriquet
"Perfin" is created from the full name "Perforated initials,"
Most perfims are just that, initials, but there are some such
stamps where the initials are replaced by a usually easily
identifiable shape or symbol such as a bell or a lyre.
A few are shaped into numbers as well. Some people
collec them as a topic and the stamp is inconsequential.
Here are a couple of examples of British perfins in the form of the arms of the city corporation:
The stamp on the left is from the City of Leicester.
The stamp on the right is from the Corporation of London.
Thank you all for these valuable infos
I found some stamps with different perforation
Can anyone help me with info on : e-link, cat# and if they worth something
Many thanks
Foudutimbre
