The first visit to Australia by a reigning sovereign was marked by a series of three stamps issued February 2, 1954. Featuring portraits of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, which were based on photographs by Dorothy Wilding.
The 3½d Carmine-Red, 7½ Violet on white paper, 7½d Violet on Cream paper and the 2/- Grey-Green are recorded shades, the remaining shades are unlisted.
