The stamp was only printed on paper watermarked with lozanges or network. It was not printed with the quatrefoils watermark. Your stamp most likely is the network watermark. They look somewhat similar.
The quatrefoil watermark, except for two postage stamps, was used on revenue stamps.

Just like michael78651 said There are only 2 versions
278 X diamant (lozenge) watermark (WZ 1)
278 Y waffle (network) watermark (WZ 2)
But if you are sure of another watermark please scan the back and front of that stamp and post it here.
Please tell me what quatrefoils watermark is, I do not know this. ( I am only working with a Michel catalog)

I my Michel catalogue the watermark is "kreuz und ringe"=cross and rings.Only one postal stamp with this watermark.The second came???

Now I know what you mean with QUATREFOILS. ( in German VIERPAS / KREUZBLÜTEN)
But what does BWschulz really mean ?
KREUZE UND RINGE or VIERPASS
Sorry Gerom, KREUZE UND RINGE is another Watermark.

What is the watermark for the german revenue stamps:vierpass or kreuz und ringe?
I checked the watermark on an official stamp in Wurttemberg.
It looks clear. I hope BWSchultz stamp looks the same. It would be great.

Michelnr 85 II a : Watermarks -> Diamants or Cross with Rings
Michelnr 96 II a : Watermarks -> Diamonds or Rings
Michelnr 151 and 152 : Watermarks -> Diamonds or Vierpass(=Kreuzblüten)
I only have included the corresponding pictures of the stamps with DIAMONDS
the ones with the other watermarks I do not have in my collection.
And what the Michel mentioned : "Es handelt wahrscheinlich um Versuchsdrucke oder Probedrucke" which means "It is likely to be a trial print of these stamps"

Eight Thousand Marks on 30 Pfennigs. My very old Michel lists this as watermarked lozenges or network. I have one watermarked quatrefoils. Is this a know variety?
