Hello all,

Thank you in advance for the great forum and any questions answered. I have bought/sold antiques, collectibles, vintage, etc. all of my adult life, but recently came across something that im not knowledged of...a stamp collection.
I found a binder in the bottom of a box of important papers, postcards, etc.

mentioned above, im not familiar with stamp collecting, values, etc. So im pleading for your help, info, and suggestions...
I "believe" that whoever was selling them was in a stamp club because there are some that are on company envelopes. All of the stamps are actually on either envelopes and post cards so idk if there is any value to them or not.
I will try to answer any questions that i can in a timely manner as well and
if i can figure out how to post pics on here i certainly will.
Thanks again in advance,
Scott

Scott,

Firstly - welcome.

Second - when the time comes that you have specific questions about any stamp, cover (i.e. stamped envelope) et. al., we GREATLY appreciate clearly scanned images of the item(s)
in question;
it helps us help you with greater accuracy of information.

Scott -

You need to provide more information about your stamps before any advice or information about them can be provided. For instance,

1. What country do the stamps come from?
2. What is the stamp denomination?
3. If they are cancelled, is there a date of usage?
4. What image is depicted on the stamp?

Stamps on an entire envelop are generally more interesting than tear off or loose stamps as the envelop can tell a bit about the history usage, so do not be quick to tear off the stamps and throw the envelops away.

As for uploading an image, it is pretty easy:
1. Scan the stamp/envelop and save it as a 'JPG' type image to your computer device
2. Click on the 'UpLoad' icon below the dialogue box
3. Browse for your saved image
4. click on the image and then the 'Open' icon
5. A link to the image should appear in your message dialogue box, Click 'Submit Message'
6. Review your message to ensure your image posted properly.

Amazing how many times I respond to a question and it's the last time the questioner is heard from..... it's probably just a coincidence, right?
