Although I can't identify this stamp for you, I can state that the Spanish Civil War period is very difficult in regards to stamp identification. I broke down several Cape Juby stamp collections recently, with Cape Juby being a former Spanish colony. I have several Cape Juby stamps that I have still not been able to identify (catalog) because they are not listed in Scott. I do have a Yvert & Tellier classic period catalog (issues from 1840 through 1940) that mirrors the Scott Classic Catalogue and it does list quite a number of issues from Spain (and Cape Juby) that Scott does not list. For example, rather than listing two semi-postal special delivery stamps like Scott, it lists twenty-nine for this time period. Your stamp just does not appear to be one of them.
After Scott's listing of the Carlist stamps of Spain, there is a note about revolutionary overprints. It says the following:
"Many districts or cities made use of the stamps of the Republic overprinted in various forms. Most such overprinting was authorized by military or postal officials but some were without official sanction. These overprints were applied in patriotic celebration and partly as a protection from the use of unover-printed stamps seized or stolen by soldiers."

I have been unable to catalogue this Spain stamp that I discovered in a recently acquired old album. It is a Red Cross issue Semi-Postal Special Delivery Stamp picturing the Royal Family that matches in design SC #EB1 (issued 1928). However, my stamp is blue and bears the surcharge in black letters; "ZONA PROTECTORADO ESPANOL." Unfortunately, the notes accompanying #EB1 do not add additional clues to catalogue identification. If any Spain stamp exports are out there, I would certainly appreciate help with this one! Thanks!
