I pretty much specialize on the 1902 Ben Franklin one cent stamp. There are a lot of these minute varieties and people do enjoy looking for these little plate imperfections. They aren't worth much, and I wouldn't be sending it for expertizing. But that's me!
The Johl written "Stamps of the 20th Century" Volume One covers this Scott 300 issue and mentions a few of the common varieties. I took a quick look and didn't see your variety.

Go to the above page, then scroll down for "Stamps of the 20th Century" and you will see the volumes showing. The Volume One is about 50 mg download. Information on Scott 300 starts around pdf page 45 which is page 38 in the book itself.
Enjoy!
OK,thanks Sir,I thought I had a real Foreign Entry stamp.
Could you look at my other post about my 583 cover if you have time, the 324 I'm pretty sure even though Scott says $5000 it's actual value is $1000 or so,the 583 is the EDU,EKU and EDC for the 583,no one seems to reply on a value for me,it's PSE certified.
I don't know anything about the other stamps. Check out the Johl books I describe in my post. They will cover those issues too, although I'm not sure which volume.
I can't find any information on this so-called DOT C variety but there's clearly a large green dot in the C.
Any info on this would be great,I want to send it in for a cert but not if I'm wasting my money and their time.
re: Scott 300 "DOT C",is this a real variey ?
