In response to one of our Members, I prepared a couple of Pre 1940 "Classic" era Approval Sheets. These appear to have been greeted with great success. If you would like me to mail you these Sheets, please contact me directly. I will be preparing more. Thank you.

I think the success of these Sheets comes from the fact -

1) that the CV of Pre 1940 "classic" era stamps jumps all over the place - from 25 cents to a few hundred dollars and they don't really fit into our established Approval Books.

2) that many people collect Pre 1940 "classic" era stamps and have difficulty obtaining them.

I received 4 Pre 1940 "Classic" era Approval Sheets back from one of our Members yesterday. He states "I am impressed with your selection and presentation. I look forward to the next batch." If you would like to receive a few Pre 1940 "Classic" era Approval Sheets just let me know and I will make it happen. Thank you very much.

Are they hinged to a sheet? I’d prefer to avoid having to soak hinges off. Thanks! Dang I miss Dennisons!

Good Morning Philatelia!

They are hinged to a Sheet - 35 to a Sheet. The occasional MNH stamp is in a mount.

Bob,

Are these worldwide?

And if so, are they fairly well-balanced? I.e., many countries?

Or do they represent one or two main areas/countries?

How about a picture of a couple? That might help me understand what's involved.

Good Morning Randall!

They are worldwide. So far I have mailed out Pre 1940 "Classic" era Approval Sheets from the USA, Greece (including Eprius, Crete, & Thrace), Tonga, Great Britain, Honduras, Newfoundland, and Cyprus. I have chosen the countries randomly (no thought process involved).

Here's where the stamps are coming from - 60+ years of collecting and accumulating. The 10 large Tupper Ware containers are filled with stamps!

So you deal in worldwide...

....BUT - each individual sheet is limited to ONE country....

I see!

Thanks for the explanation, Bob!
