The header could also contain the year of issue range.
Interested to see what you finish up with as I use Clives program to make my pages sort of following a Steiner page.
I will be using Scribus to create the pages. I already have a template for Steiner pages since I modify layouts. The border decision is not final. Adminware has over 340 pages so want to reduce that by consolidating more per page.
Think this is a bit of a collectors nightmare, Pass me the straight jacket nurse!

I do not plan to provide spaces for minor value tablet thickness variations, sheets/coils/booklet unless a straight edge, and other minor ones. I want more spaces that I planned to get just to keep some future interest.
I started the process of creating custom Machin pages.
I am Adminware's "Intermediate" pages as the catalog to create the list of possible varieties shown. I gave each stamp a number (page, row, position on row) so each is uniquely identified for now.
The next step is designing the album page/ I decided to group them more of less like Stanley Gibbons, with sterling, decimal regular perfs, ellipticals, security. etc. I did not want them in just denomination order or just row and row of stamps or like Adminware pages.
The page style will follow Adminware's somewhat with headings by denomination/color (in groups above). I am working on concepts for style (fonts, spacing, etc) to use throughout. Information on the page is important to me.
The last phase is arranging them just like the page on Vario sheets. I will need to get into the decimal era since these offer more variables (printers, litho/gravure, EME, etc before I lock in on a page design and start printing and mounting.
