In the current listing of 56 New Approval Books there are 6 Books with white pages. Not everybody has access to coloured paper, plus why take the stamps off of a stamp album page to re-hinge 100+ stamps to then un-hinge the stamps when you sell them? Thus risking damage to the stamps. If you change your monitors' contrast and brightness and angle of viewing you can see the perforations.
There are 16 Books where you have to reduce your screen size to get the whole page onto your screen.
Like me, if you do not like how they are presented, Don't Look at them!!
Just to be clear, using darker than white pages for approval books was a request, not a rule.

I have been using a certain "Blue" Background for many years now. Ralph -rraphy actually recommended the color many years ago on a similar thread. However, I need to apologize in advance tonight at midnight I am putting up several clearance books of 5 cent approvals (for 5 days only) for my 5 year anniversary on StampORama. I created these books a few weeks ago - and of course I used a white background (I was out of my blue paper at the time) and since these books are only going to be up for 5 days - I did not care about the paper color. I probably will NEVER use the white background after these books are taken down at the end of the week... Steve
I noticed the recent change to the approval book rules regarding categories and arrangement of stamps in a book. All good.
My main recommendation in that area would be to have a mandatory black background for all approval books and to have the whole stamp visible in the scan / picture.
Thins will still be hidden but at least I will be able to avoid obvious defects concerning perforation flaws.
Mod. Moved to more appropriate area
