The cancel on the Theodore Roosevelt stamp is a roller cancel. They are usually used on parcels and large envelopes.

No, it doesn't matter. A roller cancel is applied by hand with a postal clerk using a roller to cancel the stamps. It is not a pre-cancel.

You will also often find pre-canceled stamps with inverted printing. Most are not worth much over a regular printed pre-cancel.

want to make sure you understand San Francisco is a CANCEL and not an overprint. It was affixed long after the stamp was printed. It is a roller cancel.

and the stamp is not from the WF series but from the Prexie series that began in 1938. Each stamp's denomination corresponds with the president's place in the lineage.
