re: QE2 collection ...

Quite an interesting article in terms of what is behind the scenes of the article and very nice public discussion of stamp collecting in the large. Just managed to get a copy of Sir John Wilson's book from the 1950's on the royal collection and really enjoyed reading a more recent book entitled The Queen's Stamps by Nicholas Courtney.

Is there an embedded link that leads to the discussion in he article,
that I am missing ?
Sometimes I can see the forest, but completely miss the trees.
Other times I can't find either.
Perhaps there is more for registered subscribers.

It is a very short article that mostly highlights the magnitude of the collection as a way of generating interest.

Just checked online & it isn't available, but a softcover reprint is due in January.

I'll have to pick one up when available.

re: QE2 collection ...

I just received my copy of "The Queen's Stamps". Ordered from Abe Books, $14.69 including postage from England. Thanks for the recommendation. I just leafed through it, looking forward to reading when I get some free time.
