You devil ! I have no direction to build an addition on my house for such things !
Unless i throw out a tub of stamps i have no looked at in 6 months(unclutter).
My wife and I were out having dinner on my birthday last week. She mentions that I need to have a birthday present but she has no idea what I'd want, so I should buy myself something! At first I gave my usual "I have everything I need" reply. Then I thought again...
I had been researching old stamp vending equipment for my upcoming talk on the first private perforations on US stamps. I borrowed a few photos from eBay and I couldn't get this one machine out of my mind. It's small, only 8 X 6 1/2 X 9" tall, to fit on a store counter top.
So I pull up eBay on my phone and buy it right then and there! The seller was not far from me and suggested I come pick it up instead of having it shipped. I grabbed it up last night. He mentioned he had a second unit, but didn't have a key for it so I could have that for $50. He said I already paid $10 for postage we didn't use so I gave him $40 and took the second one home too!
I get home and try the key from unit one in unit two! Score! It works! One happy camper!
I will be speaking at "The Gathering" a stamp event held monthly at the Chester County Historical Society in Westchester, Pennsylvania. Both Vinman (Vince) and Pigdoc (Paul) attend this event with me. You are all invited! Message or email me!
My talk will be on the first private perforations on Scott 314, my beloved Ben Franklin of course!
