This cancel is not listed as being fake according to the Infla Library book 13. It look´s good to me. That is a very nice block you have. If you ever want be rid of it I have a very nice place for it.
Scott mentions the year as "1923" for this series
Michel Germany Specialized notes Oct. 8-Nov. 24, 1923 for the series
The 20 Mil is noted as 2 printing dates, 27-10-23 and 1-11-23 so the date of 19-1-23 seems odd
The shape and position of the 1 and stars also seems different to others of the period but more than 1 cancel probably exists
Mannheim Cancel below
Finally, how many times have you seen a block of this size including margin imprints postally used??
If the cancel is genuine then it was applied to increase the value or perhaps a CTO which MIGHT be possible but VERY doubtful given the limited time use during the inflation period
If increasing the value was the goal then what is it now worth - certainly not the used value and no longer a mint block, so ...
Thank you opa and Ron.I misused the term "fake" cancel,My question was refered to a wrong date of a cancel.
Without looking up the date of issue, I can say with certainty that this stamp was not in use yet on January 19, 1923. That said, errors in cancelling devices are not that uncommon...

How much it is worth approximately?
Is it possible that instead of month 11 there will be 1?
I spent 3-4 E and this for, HAN and PE error and I do not want to risk spending 10-15 E for that the expert write to me that it is fake cancelation.
My new passion for philately is great but my budget is small and so far I have only bought stamps and have not sold anything yet.
The ink of the stamp looks good(grease ink? see scan) the diameter of the inner circle is 16mm, the outside is 27mm.
Is worth the risk?
If this were cancelled during the inflation era, I have no doubt it is fake.
The post office was required to cancel each stamp several times because they were so valuable. That is the first thing to consider in deciding whether they are used or unused with fake cancels
You are right but it is not enough to establish that it is fake cancel.
I found on the site Phila versand a certified block with a single cancel:
and on philastempel site a type cancel that look like my cancel( but differs no. and letter bottom):
it is not enough for me to establish that it is a genuine cancel.
I have a number of used from that period. It is just a portion of a circle, usually in the upper right corner of the stamp. Used. Right, that looks like a mint no gum trying to be a much more expensive stamp.
Some infla stamps were still used up to April 1924. Although these were no longer valid a small amount slipped through without being noticed. On cover these are very rare. I´m not sure of the English term so I´m guessing they are called "back runners". I´think that is what you have here.
Infla Berlin shows some of these late usages on their web site, Unfortunately I can´t get the link to work.
Opa I don't understand...on my cancel the year is 1923.I am very interesed about this information.
When I read the 1 (January)on the cancel my head sees a 24 instead of a 23. Now I feel stupid.
But I still think that it is real. Most likely a CTO with false adjusted cancel. I have one on cover with the year being false. My reasoning is as follows. First of all it looks right, color et al. Second why would someone put a false cancel on a stamp and put a date in when the stamp was not printed, third it´s not listed by infla Berlin as being false.
Antonius is right about each stamp being cancelled, but still this was not always done.
There are also some very nice CTO cancels for this period.
And always have your infla cancels certified. This is a must for this area.
If you are interested in Back runners google "Infla Berlin" and check Inflationsbelege, then Nachläufer.
Here is an example of a typical false cancel. Note the difference in color and width
Thank you opa.Infla Berlin site it's a very, very good for my interess on german stamps.
On cancel write "MANNHEIM 19.1.23 8-9V *1 s.
What you think?
