In the list of Auction I saw stamps "Mint No Hinge"
What does it mean? It had hinge and it was removed? So the stamp is not MNH?
Thanks for the clarifications.

You may want to ask the auction place to be sure. It may a language issue but not the common way it is said - Mint Never Hinged. If this was from someone in US I would be wondering how much they really know about stamps.

re: Mint No Hinge

Something doesn't sound quite right here. I think it should be MNH (Mint Never Hinged) or MH (Mint Hinged). I would ask the person who used such a description to define what he or she means.

And to confuse things, our British colleagues call it "unmounted".

That's because we always used hinges to mount stamps whether mint or used. Back in the good old days mounts and varios were unknown and certainly out of the reach of the pockets of most of us collectors when they did hit the market.
Cannot recall ever owning even a stockbook in the 50-70's.
Still use hinges for my used stamps today, but the mint do go in mounts (expensive) now.
