Has Scott issued a number for a full sheet of John Lennon stamps? 5315a is for a strip of four only.

re: Scott Number Question

No. They issues cstalog numbers for the singles 5312-5315. Scott assigns a suffix for the strip using the last the series so 5315a. The sheet does not have a separate number.

re: Scott Number Question

The Scott US Specialized Catalog only provides a non-numbered line at the bottom of a listing, such as "Pane of 20", and then a catalog value for full panes of sheet stamps.

re: Scott Number Question

I was probably thinking of souvenir sheets, which usually only have one stamp on an apt border. Even though the Lennon one has a record sleeve motif, it's not really a souvie.

Thanks for your helpful responses.

re: Scott Number Question

For Scott, the rule is if a sheet has only 1 copy of each design then it will assign a major catalog number to the sheet and a suffix to the singles. This means the number stamps on the sheet equals the number of unique designs.

If the sheet has more than one 1 copy of the design then they assigned a number to each design. The Lennon stamp has more than one 1 copy so no single number.
