HI Rob
Nice collection
I still have not bought a micrometer, but after seeing your posts today, it will be my most important purchase in the next week or so.
Regards
Franz
Hi Franz
I'll send you a message where to buy one as the place is in your state. It is a very valuable tool when it comes to gauging paper thickness.
Rob
The above image is the complete series of QEII side-face sheet printings from 1953-1956 including all the shades plus unlisted shades and translucent papers. The "thin" describing the translucency of the bottom stamps refer to appearance rather than the thickness of an actual thin stamp. All stamps are mint unhinged.
No watermark:
Both 1d stamps
All 2½d stamps
Both 3d stamps
6½d Orange stamp (second last)
Watermark:
Both 1953 3½d stamps
1956 6½d Orange & Pale Orange stamps
1956 6½d Dull Yellow Orange stamp
1956 3½d Thin Translucent paper
1956 6½d Thin Translucent paper
Unlisted stamps:
2½d Violet Blue stamp
6½d Dull Yellow Orange stamp
