I would think if it is unwatermarked, then it would be 491 Rotary Press

Can you post a scan of the back of the stamp?
Don
Studie Guy,
I'm unable to upload the reverse-side picture, even though it's a jpeg. I've also tried it as a GIF.
What should I be looking for in the image?
Setoff. If you want you can email the image(s) and I will post them. You can email me using the Stamp Smarter address http://stampsmarter.com/connect/Home_Connect.html

Thanks no setoff, this is additional verification that this is not a flat plate printing. I concur that it appears to be a rotary press.
Since it is a rotary perf 10 vert. with no watermark; it can only be a Type II (#491) or Type III ($#492). The image is not high resolution enough to tell for sure but with stamp in hand you should be able to figure it out.

Thanks again, Don.
Your site dedicated to these pesky stamp designs is so helpful. The cancellation lines on this one did a good job interfering with some of the detail clues, but there are enough for me to decide it's a Type III.
I was unable to upload an image the other day. Trying again while in Chrome, which was unavailable to me then (thanks to Google foisting its Google Assistant on me).
Thanks also to Chris and d1.
I know . . . another one of these frustrating Wash-Franks. Curses on the graves of the postmasters who kept cranking out these police mug shot stamps!
I got this one in an auction box of old U.S. albums, many of the stamps misplaced; fully perforated stamps hinged under "Imperfs," ungrilled under "Grilled," etc.
The closest description for the red guy above is Type V, but I can't find any Type V's with vertical perf 10. None of the other Types seem to fit. The stamp is unwatermarked.
What do you think?
