I was wondering if there was an exact way to determine the difference between "pre-phosphored" and "overall tagged" stamps using UV lamps. For example, Scott #s 4782-5 and 4782a-5a.

Scott's also mentions straight edges either top/bottom or sides but 2 of the stamps have the same corner locations. Working with used singles.

There is a database for US tagged stamps that has images to show differences.
