Dear woman,
Since you have now left our beautiful city,
I wish you to reach your home happily.
I was often touched by the beautiful conversations.
So I send you a friendly greeting and a warm ?
F ?
P.S.
The card says :
In memory of the visit
his majesty the emperor of Russia
in Potsdam in November 1899
Interesting history here..........
Interesting story.
Just one remark: Sr. Maj. des Kaisers von Russland does not mean the emperor's sergeant-major. It is an abbreviation for Seiner Majestät des Kaisers von Russland, which just means "his majesty the emperor of Russia"

Heres a better man than the cousins...my Grandfather a humble peasant that had to fight for his life from 1915-18 in the East and in the Dolomites. when the royals squabble send in the cannon fodder .
Its a shame this card got a bit tattered and torn....
