Could I get some opinions on the tagging I see with some 4138 Bighorns I have?

My 2012 Scott US Specialized only identifies two tagging types for this stamp, but to me, I see three distinct kinds.

Scott lists 4138 as overall tagged and 4138a as prephosphored paper.
In my pic below on the left are some overall tagged ones with a greenish hue and on the right is a prephosphored paper one also with a greenish hue. The one in the middle with a bluish hue is the one I have questions about. The black on it is not as intense as the one on the right so I think it has some amount of overall tagging, but it is not nearly as hazy from tagging applied over the ink as in the stamps on the left. Also the tagging color is different. Also, it has a couple blue patches (under SW UV) on the Bighorn's chest that the others don't have.
I have several of each of these 3 types and all three are distinct - not a gradual change between the 3.

I welcome anyone interested to check their stock and provide their opinions....

Hi Dave,
Not sure if you have looked in the Tagging database that Mark has done on Stamp Smarter
http://stampsmarter.com/features/TaggingView.html. Al (in this forum) and Mark are quite 'tag knowledgably'. Mark is not on this forum but you might ask him over in the SCF forum, I assume that Al will weigh in here.

Hi Don,
Yes, I'm familiar with the tagging database - an excellent resource.
It sure helps. I did check it for the 4138s but didn't see any that look like the blue hue ones I have. I had inquired of Mark, he thinks it is overall tagged and possibly on hibrite paper. He suggested I inquire on the groups for opinions.
Hopefully will get some input over next several days or so when people get a chance to check theirs....

Angore,

Thanks for weighing in, but what do you mean when you say you have all 3 varieties? I thought Scott listed only 2 varieties of tagging for this issue.

Okay Thanks Angore,

Since I have several of each, but more of the 4138 green hue overall tagged version, I thought all 3 varieties I have would be fairly common. Do you mind saying about how many of the 4138 and 4138a you counted? Just to help get an idea of the blue hue version population...

I have one single and sheet of each. The full sheet is uniform but allows to spot the overall vs proshored paper since the overall tagging just extends beyond the stamp.

I only have 1 coil version.

Dave,

I put 20 of the bighorn sheep (4138) under SWUV and they all look like the ones on the left of your posted picture. None looked like the prephosphored paper and none had the bluish/white appearance of the middle one.

Thank You Smaier for the added data on these.
Needs lots more input from others to get an idea of how common/uncommon each of these are.

Stamp varieties like this are just so cool!
