Good on you, lads!
We are very fortunate to have in our club a fellow whose business is graphic arts. When he has the time he enjoys sketching areas of local interest. I really like this postcard of the Poughkeepsie railroad bridge which replaced the D&H canal in bringing coal from Pennsylvania. the bridge was closed due to a fire some 50 years ago and is today a popular public attraction..The Walkway over the Hudson.
Brodge? or bridge.
Always liked pen and ink drawings. Nice image.
Holy Cow ! Its a good thing he does promos and printings for us free !
We have been fortunate to have picked up several new members in the past year or so who actually have ideas about introducing our club to the local public. One fellow who has a table at a monthly market at our town community center has made it possible for us to share space with him this Saturday. There are a couple of storms headed our way in the next few days and unless the weather looks really bad Saturday we are going to run with it. I recall 10 or 12 years back we would have as few as 4 members attend a meeting, but we just kept going, now we will get 14 or so at a business/social meeting and probably 17 or 18 at our monthly auction. If the weather stops us this Saturday..we will set up another Saturday.
