When a seller lists an item for sale in that category, they can accidentally end up listing all subsequent stamps in that category. I know this because I have done this myself though I have always caught myself and corrected the mistake.
Michael (the Auctioneer) and I (the assistant sales platform moderator) do correct these types of mistakes when we see them and I will look into this issue with the Revenues, Cinderellas and Seals category.
Cheers,
Antonio
I reviewed the Revenues, Cinderellas and Seals category and cleaned it up. The placement of a stamp in the wrong category is almost always an unintended, honest mistake of the seller.
Feel free to message me if you see stamps in the incorrect category, and I will look into it as I am able.
Also if you are a seller and have any questions or need help with the auctions, please also feel free to message me.
Cheers,
Antonio
Its a very easy mistake to make because unlike approval books, you can list in many categories. Happens to me all the time so I try when I list revenues these days to do it at the end of my auctions. It is also the reason my packet listing is the last auction.
The non clearing out of fields on the the auction screen is the very reason I do not do buy it nows. It is way too easy to leave an incorrect price in that field when you create multiple auctions. Better to simply not do it. I made that mistake once when I first started auctions here and I have never done a BIN since.

I appreciate everyone's positive attitude and helpful comments -
Thank you!
OK, I added one to the category, so there is something in there.
I am a collector of revenues, cinderellas and seals among other things;
I regularly check that category in the auction;
however, lately many of the items listed
did NOT belong listed under that heading.
I am not talking of just two or three items mislisted - it appears
that half of the listings now are not found in any of the 3 categories
of the heading.
This has led me to NOT checking the items listed here nearly as often
as I used to because I don't want to waste my time wading through
the mess.
And this is not restricted to just this category -
I am seeing it more and more in many other categories as well.
And my collecting interests include many other categories as well,
as I'm sure is true of the vast majority of members here.
So just a polite reminder to sellers in the auctions;
listing items in the wrong categories will not necessarily get your item
more visibility - it just might NOT get looked at at all!
PLEASE BE ACCURATE WITH YOUR CATEGORY LISTINGS.
