I have done this, but only because the seller of the item would not ship to the buyers country,so it was sent to me and I forwarded it on .
I have had help purchasing from from a stamporama seller who will not ship outside the US.The items were purchased for me by another member who lives in the US and then sent on to me in Australia.
It can work if everyone involved is agreeable.

Bob, SOR cannot start shipping items for its members. Too much liability.
I think that Brian's method is probably the best at this time, but as he says, everyone involved has to be agreeable to the process, and may I add also reliable. One thing to consider is who makes good when the shipment doesn't arrive to the buyer?
Another problem would be if somehow some
inappropriate merchandise was combined
without your knowledge
Unless you were doing it for someone
with whom you you had a longstanding
relationship and felt very comfortable.

Is the member a Scottish person?
The whole world says us Scots are mean, miserly, stingy and that we look after the bawbees.

I had to look up bawbees.
Isn't this the service that APS offers through it's sales portal? Best if we leave it to them I think
A non-USA SOR member has just asked me if very small SOR Approval purchases can somehow or other be combined to save him International Postage costs. Interesting question, but poses some questions/obstacles. His idea is that I mail his Approval purchases from me to someone he has purchased from, and that they somehow get funneled to one person who will then mail the total purchase to him - thus saving him postage costs. It would be a nice service for SOR to consider, BUT -
