My daughter is in Edinburgh Scotland for a long weekend..it must be nice, my youngest guy is in San Francisco binging on sports... Golden State Warriors today, Oakland Raiders tomorrow and the 49ers Monday..glad he can do it...he says the air is like Beijing with the smoke from the fires. As for me, i don't have to go anywhere...i am here on the internet surrounded by stamps and covers...let the wind blow !

Phil, my oldest daughter lives in Walnut Creek on the east side of the bay in San Francisco. She absolutely loves it but says the air quality is terrible.

We will have to see if Florifa State can hang with Notre Dame tonight!

re: To each his own !

Stamps not football for me too! In 1966, my brother-in-law took me to see a game between the Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs, in Kansas City. We had a box seat right at the 50 yard line. It was cold and grey. The score was something like a kazillion to nothing for the Raiders. I saw players run past us toward one end or the other, where nearly all of the action occurred. The only time I even saw a football was when one was kicked, and maybe when one was passed. I don't know. I didn't care. Borrrrrrrr...ing!

I have been to pro hockey,basketball and baseball games, but not football..its just too expensive ! I took the boys to a couple of games at West Point about 40 years ago, it was inexpensive and fun.

re: To each his own !

I think my wife married me because I don't follow sports. Her brothers and father were fanatical, so she was happy to escape it!

Her youngest brother has this goal of watching a major league baseball game at every stadium. And the funny thing with it has been that due to my business travels, programs I've been involved with included a baseball game outing, so I've been to more stadiums than he has and I don't give a hoot! You should see his face when I come back from Cincinnati, Denver or San Diego and I give him a ticket stub! Big Grin

I look in the mirror, and I don't have a clue why my wife married me.

Okay, Malcom -

I gotta admit;

that one took me a minute and I had to read it twice.

I, also, took a re-reading to figure it out. Must be because I just made it to being a teenager by the end of the 60's. Not a good defense but I will stick with it until something better comes along. Happy
