Cant seem to find these stamps in the Scott catalog. Any help would be appreciated They appear to be some semi-postals

Hi Bob,

Yes, these are local stamps from the town of Finsterwalde in Brandenburg issued in 1946.

Finsterwalde was in the Russian Zone.

The surcharge was for funds for reconstruction.

At the top is the town's nickname "Sängerstadt", i.e. Singers Town.

They are listed in the Michel Specialised Germany catalogue.
