I had never heard of him, but google and many other places have: http://www.biographi.ca/en/bio/morgan_henry_james_14E.html, for one example
I love personal collections in the making. Several years ago I took a small group of covers, most with letters, centered on a wealthy New Bedford family. The man offered the group to me not knowing what he had; he had a trove. I organized it, wrote it up, and sold it on his behalf. Great fun. Turns the Greens and Howlands are responsible for much of American inheritance law, having a case last more than a hundred years.

I just received a few stampless letters to Henry James Morgan parliamentary clerk in Ottawa in the mid 1860`s. Does anyone else collect his items or can add any info about this gentleman ? Looks like a collection in the making but need to know more and find more ....
