Thankyou for the information as finding out about the stamps with what you have sent has been great and helpful. The Workers stamps it was the 10L and a couple of others the watermarks didn't look right. Now I will have to wait until my daughter comes home in a week but I will send some Mexico stamps that I also received at the same time and sight unseen also.
Now I'm only learning but the Mexican stamps have perforations ( I hope that is what you call them) except two stamps which are red have a 10 in the bottom corners and a tall statue. I'm stumped as to why these 2 stamps don't have perforations so the only way I'm going to find out is ask you all and show the photos and I have joined the best place to ask and find out.
Thankyou
Here are the Mexican stamps, I'm sorry they are not straight but someone else is helping me. I'm learning both stamps and computers.
These stamps are sight unseen Any information about the stamps would be helpful as the two stamps that are the same, one stamp looks like it is perforated on top?
Pooh
The Italy worker stamps and the "head" stamps that follow them are more complex than they appear. There are slight variations of the "winged wheel" watermarks, and different orientations of the multiple stars watermark, althougth if you are not collecting the issue in depth it is probably not worth bothering with them - although some are quite valuable to collectors in Italy.
Malcolm
Thankyou to Tobbin and Malcolm for the information. The 2 Mexican stamps that are the same could you please tell me or someone why the 2 stamps don't have perforations, yet one of the stamps look like it has perforations on the top. I don't live in America and I wouldn't have a clue.
I'm only just learning so I thought the only way to learn is to buy alot of stamps, which I did sight unseen and the Italian stamps and Mexican stamps and the Fijian stamps were in the one package.
The Italian stamps the Watermarks are the Wing Wheel Watermark that part I have learnt
Thankyou

I don't live in America and I wouldn't have a clue.
Dear Pooh,
I'd venture a guess that there are more people
in the United States as a whole who have no clue
about almost anything, than there are people and
possibly joeys in Australia in its entirety.
Remember the only dumb question is the one you
were too embarrassed to ask.
Thankyou for the information about the Mexican stamps but could you please tell me what the watermark on these Mexican stamps would be?? Also thankyou to the man with what he said about the joeys
I believe the watermark for the stamp(s) in question
is this one;
This is watermark 156 in the Scott catalog.
The Scott number for the watermarked issue is 645;
the Scott number for an UNwatermarked issue is 639.
Hello,
I'm just going back through my stamps, could someone please tell me about the Mexican stamps no 5 and 6. I know these stamps are not worth anything but I just want to know why some of these Mexican stamps are rare? I don't have a Scott Book to find the information but I can't find out any information as to why some Mexican stamps are rare Thankyou
I'm sorry but I completely forgot to say that both Mexican stamps have a watermark but a bit hard to make it out. I'm guessing that my 2 Mexican stamps are not rare but I would like to know why this stamp is rare? How many stamps are there? Anything else any one can tell me about these stamps
Thankyou
I have bought alot of stamps, sight unseen and there is a whole lot of Italy workers stamps amongst them from 65L below. Could someone please give me some information on the watermarks of the stamps.
I know these stamps are not worth anything but some are upside down and a different way. there is also a handful of 100 L and 200L also.
Is there any errors with any of these stamps as I don't know why there is a handful of these 100 & 200L stamps. I have looked on the internet and can't find anything.
