Is Ebay totally severing their sales function from Paypal? Or, will it still be an option and, will sellers be allowed to specify Paypal only?
Let me guess; Ebay will soon if not already introduce their very own payment platform.
But they already own PayPal??? I thought?

eBay used to own PayPal but a while back they split and became separate companies.

I sure would like to reread what I received from eBay Expression yesterday, but when I try to bring up the details I get "Your response to the survey has already been received. Thank you."
Snick1946 hit the nail on the head when he said "Ebay will introduce their very own payment platform."
Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) had it right...GREED IS GOOD!
Thats why Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) flipped on him and wore a wire, bye bye Gordie!
Still just sortin'....

I wonder when the Ebay Gods will feel is the right time to announce this to the general public, especially their sellers? I don't see that any actual disclosure of this has been made, right now it's leaks and hints.
This discussion seems to be the only one taking place right now anywhere on the net. Probably I'm wrong but they seem to be dribbling this out.
I may be wrong but I believe that it was released to the sellers in one of their emails some time ago - you know, the ones you read until your eyes gloss over.
I read about it some time ago in Ina Steiner's EcommerceBytes newsletter. It is published several times a week and is free. It covers pretty much all business aspects of Ebay, Amazon, Easy, etc. and is a quick read unless you get wrapped up in the comments on each subject.

ebay had their own service initially (BillPay?)
Is Ayden a direct debit type card? I checked the fees and it looks like 25 cents per transaction for ACH method.
eBay will have a significant discount built-in with the deal they hammer out with Ayden. I assume it would be difficult to raise the current fee structure by much without causing a lot of whining and bad publicity. Perhaps an increase after a year or two with the new payment provider? Hopefully they will keep both and allow them to compete with each other.

Is Ayden's setup similar in the sense you send money to them to use for payments (along with credit card options) or does it just pull out of your bank account?
I'd be interested in hearing comments concerning this. I completed the Ebay survey earlier today and was going to reread it just now, but the details have been removed from my computer. Sounds cumbersome, that's why I wanted to reread it. As I understood it - selected Sellers now and the rest a year out. Thank you.
