Hopefully Australia Post will eventually issue more bird series as it had done in the past.
I'm thinking about collating all the birds since Federation (1901) and displaying them.

Perhaps AP is planning on a Finch series. It was mentioned in the March-April Stamp Bulletin that there are 19 species of finches in Australia, so with 7 down already, there are another 12 species to look forward to.
After reading about the birds from Australia Post it seems that they will be the only two series, they called the second set a "companion issue". The next non-human stamps will be frogs to be issued on July 11.
On July 3 though, Australia Post will be issuing a "Birth of a Prince" stamp showing William & Kate holding newborn Prince Louie. And sometime in September-August Australia issue will be issuing a stamp(s) of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan.
Here is how the next Royal birth stamp will look like.
Anyway, I'll be writing to Australia Post soon to see if they will be issuing more finches sometime this year or in 2019.
Kevin Stead is a wildlife artist illustrated these finches for Australia Post, he had been illustrating birds for our stamps since 1998, Ill be displaying all the stamps he had illustrated, it may of interest what he actually designed.
Christopher Pope also an Australian wildlife artist, and in my opinion would have to be the best wildlife artist ever commissioned by Australia Post, his stamps will also be included in the display.
