I'm greatly impressed by the Royal Mail's imminent stamp set - now there's a sentence I don't often write! - featuring original works by modern artists (Emin, Perry, etc.), which is a change from the usual (though rare enough) reproductions of long-dead fellows like Gainsborough and Turner.
I read about this in today's paper - not the usual RM publicity notice, but a full-length article which may be of interest to those of you who look for art and graphic design in stamps. Here is a link to the article:
I'm not sure if the author has recently been down to his local post office (where you almost certainly can't buy these stamps), but when I'm next down in William IV Street I'll pick up a set.
