If you like chubby cheeks, a broad nose and a frown, you will love these.

The statue they are supposedly based on is the Statue of Freedom on the top of the Capitol Building in Washington DC shown below.

I was thinking Lady Liberty on these reminded me of someone. Then I realized, it's the look I get from the wife when I come home late or otherwise screw up.

Good grief, who approves these things anyway? The depiction of her on the $5.00 1922 issue would have been prefect.

I take it those are 'facsimile' lines of engraving to form the image.

The stamp is a complete miss. Looks nothing like Lady Freedom. This reminds me of the stautue of Martin Luther King Jr. on the mall in DC.
