Looks like DDR Scott 500 30 cents (2010 scott).
Jacques (jlav)
2017 Scott value is 40 cents used.
You should have been able to find the stamp very easily by noting the date overprinted on the stamp "1 Mai (May) 1960". Often times the dates on cancels or overprints are key to identifying stamps but are often overlooked.
Stanley Gibbons E494, issued 28.4.1960 and catalogued in 2011 at 90p mint, 55p used.
But does anyone outside the UK use Stanley Gibbons? I doubt that. Most annoying.
I use catalogs more for identification than value, so I have Gibbons for Great Britain and Australia, and Michel for Germany. Much more detail than any Scott.

Yes, all the time.
I use SG too. I have purchased my latest 2015 Commonwealth 1840-1970 off ebay.
