Importance in regards to what?
It's a beautiful stamp being nicely engraved and having an interesting shape. It's commemorating a Philatelic exposition of Oct 12, 1932. Your stamp however was printed in 1937 and is Scott No. 179. There is an earlier set from 1932 as well and a imperf souvenir sheet issued in 1937 with all four stamps of the set. All of the stamps excluding the sheet are of minimum value and very common. Real value for sheet $2-3.
The original perforated set can be seen in the top scan and is inscribed 1932 in the ribbon at right side of oval. The second page shows the souvenir sheet and the imperf stamps that were cut from a sheet. These were inscribed "1937"
The next set shows your stamp and is also inscribed "1937"
That was a nice explanation, Mitchell!
Dave,
Seems it was of little use to the person asking the question. Just the typical non response from the treasure speaker.
