Image Not FoundImage Not FoundI have been trying to locate this set of stamps ever since it was issued.Scott recognizes it as legitimate issue but I have contacted dealers and collector alike around the world and no one has any knowledge of the issue. The Churchill Yalta Conference stamp was used on a series of 250 cards 50 WWII Events Topics 5 cards for each event topic. The card bears the Yalta conference stamp with Churchill and a Tab relating to the event.I have added a used copy of the stamp and tab as well as an example of one of the cards. If anyone has any information or has even seen the issue,I would be interested to hear from you.Take care! James, I've tried to check out these stamps on Delcampe, but among the 30-odd thousand Guinea stamps offered there, these were not among them.

Guinea is well-known for deriving a lot of its GDP from the sale of stamps, they often having little or nothing to do with the country itself. As a collector of WW2-related stamps myself, I have to say I avoid Guinea commemoratives, together with several other countries which have similar issuing policies.

Nevertheless, I do have some wartime stamps from Guinea (then a French colony, of course), so there is a tenuous connection. I hope you find someone on this forum who can help you further. Happy

Thanks for your reply and your efforts.I too over the years have gone through the countless thousands of Guinea stamps on Delcampe many times with no success.I collect Sir Winston Churchill so as the new issues which might have Churchill on them are far and few between I am a little more tolerant of these stamp mill countries. As for the cards I bought them from a collector in Holland 15 years ago for a dollar a piece.......the set was missing 5 and over the last 15 years I have managed to find 3 more so getting closer and closer. Thanks again! Jim
