The 4th Edition of The Australian Commonwealth Specialists Catalogue 'Kangaroos and The Early Federal Period, 1901-12' (BW, 2004) provides information on flaws and varieties for Australian state stamps during that period. The Australian states information does not appear in later editions.
You may find a copy occasionally on the net or in a stamp auction.
The white flaw on the body of your first swan is not a listed variety.

You might find this extensive thread on WA stamps of interest. It is not particularly devoted to varieties.

Hi to all
Are there any publications that deal with varieties of the stamps of the Australian States.
I know that one person overseas did a very comprehensive study on Victorian State stamps, but I am not aware of any others for the other Australian States.
