How can I separate these two stamps in used condition? If there is a micro print on what stamp and where? Thanks.

I guess you mean 3978 and 3985. The microprinting is located in the top right red stripe, over liberty's head, just next to the star blue field. The microprinting is on the 3978 and 3981.
