I would not use a photo album for stamps.
Doug
Is there particular reason you wanted to use a photo album?
Most collectors mount stamps to pages using hinges or stamp mounts in binders.
One key for storage is in something that will not damage your stamps. Some photo albums may cause long term damage depending on the type used.
If you are thinking about the photo albums with an adhesive clear page to hold the photographs to the back don't.
The adhesive will damage the surface of the stamps ( actually in the long term I think they will damage the surface of the photographs too but that is another argument )

You can buy a nice stamp stock book at Hobby Lobby for approx $10. if you use the 40% discount coupon that's always on their website.
Every time I go in the store and I don't find anything I need, my default is to buy another stock book!
Thanks for all the info...my reason for using the photo albums as they were cheap at the second-hand shop and I am quite poor...trying to preserve as frugally as possible but learning that with stamps it has to be all or nothing...no half way...thank you to all.
Blessings,
Spike
You can find used stamp albums in very good condition in many places. You do not have to purchase a new one.
Stamp albums typical come in two types: 8 1/2 x 11 that can use standard binders and then proprietary sized pages and album.
A 3 ring binder with stock sheets (like Vario style) is usually one of the lowest cost methods to arrange or you can affix to pages using stamp hinges (usually inexpensive stamps) or mounts (plastic pockets) for more expensive ones.
Hinged on acid free paper pages that you can design in a three ring binder. Good to go, creative, and cheap ! Best part of our hobby is the levels with which you can accomplish the task and have fun !!! Home made pages are the best intro to the stamps as well as you can move em around and group them how you like. I have some very expensive albums for my specialty collections, but I still do home designed pages for my misc. stuff.
Hi All,
I was wondering if Photo albums can be used to store my stamps??? Any help much appreciated. Than you.
