Hello,

Does anyone know additional detailed information about this set of WWII postcards created by caricaturist Arthur Szyk commissioned by Esquire Magazine in 1942.

1. This is card number 2 from set six according to the info printed on the back of the card. I have never seen any other sets numbered 1-5 or a set number after #6. Have you?

2. Does anyone know if the previous sets were also done by Syzk? Sets after set #6?

3. I have seen many of these sets offered unused but finding these cards postally used does not seem to be common. Have you seen them used?

I've been trying to find information about these myself - but little progress. Wonderful stuff.

I take it you have seen his stamp album cover pages? Superbly done. But the price of these is becoming prohibitive.

Yes, I've seen his other works including some postwar work for Israel.
Will check on internet for more info as you suggest, Phil.
