Should the gum on this issue be a dark yellow and there are some tiny brown spots, should I keep this stamp or does it have something wrong with it I paid some $40.00 for it.

It was Ebay item number 361959921109

The gum is what is referred to as "crazed" or "crackled. If it were my stamp, and if I had kept it so long I couldn't return it as you have, then I would soak off the gum if it bothers you.

smauggie is there anything you see that might harm any other stamp, It is not that it is bothering me but I was afraid that it might harm other stamps
