Received a letter featuring the new golf ball stamp from my wife's sister who was moved to provide commentary on the envelope. This stamp actually has raised (or would it be lowered) dimples that you can feel with your finger. Nice touch, so to speak.

The next step, hopefully, will be scratch n' sniff stamps (I am assuming this hasn't happened yet).

re: Golf Ball Stamp

The new US balls stamps portray several balls from different sports. The balls on the stamps are textured as the real ones are.

Scratch 'n sniff stamps have been made before by other countries, but not by the US.

If this does not get average, everyday, postal patrons noticing the stamps they are affixing to letters, nothing will. I applaud the USPS for issuing such stamps.

I am looking forward to adding these stamps to my United States collection.
