I don't see a grill. Or pink, so 65.
Thanks my Scott catalog makes no mention of a grill on #64, just 3 colors pink, rose pink and pidgeon blood pink. I'll kill a pidgeon later and check the color

Nowt wrong with pigeons, especially in a game pie. Mind you the only bit worth eating is the breast and it would need to be a wild one not feral.
Well you did say "orr WHAT" which would include any of the various grills that can be found on this stamp design. Of course those are different Scott numbers. Pigeon blood stamps are a bluish pink color.

65 (Your Stamp) Dull Red
No 64 Pink on left. No 64a pigeon blood pink on right. From Apfelbauminc site. I don't think you have to kill a pigeon. I do note that 64a in the Scott catalogue is a rather pricy stamp. Grats if indeed you snagged that one.

Thanks Winedrinker the d staands for DUMD which I'm feeling right now
pedroguy, you are the furthest thing from dumbd. As possibly the worst speller in the world, it is quite ironic that I would point out spelling errors to someone else. My wife laughs at me daily for my spelling.
Poor spelling is a sign of exceptional intelligence -- I think Einstein said that.

Einstein was dyslexic, which often includes spelling deficiencies among other reading and thinking difficulties; in exchange for these obstacles, dyslexics tend to be creative and maintain wonderful spatial visualization and memory
I, on the other hand, can spell.
US # 63-65 are some of my favorite stamps. I have not yet measured a perf or compared for different colors. I may be rich and not even know it! I have only been collecting for 20 years.
My 2009 Scott catalog does not mention a Z grill on 63. Yes, I did check for that grill on my US#63.
Pedroguy, that is a very pretty stamp.
Cheers,
Valarie
grills were introduced in 1867, long after 63-65 were issued, so adding a grill changes the stamp.
