Just realized that the Scott 2014 GB section has the letter "p" instead of "d" for all the pre 1971 issues and also for the Regionals. Have they corrected this in later issues?
As a second light bulb moment I noticed that the stamp size given is only the actual design measurement, not including the perfs or margins. Just when I figured it might be an easier way to select or cut mounts. Guess I could just add on 2.5-3mmm each way.
Anyway back to sorting the pain of 2p Machins into various catagories.

Thanks Michael, I see that they have a note regarding Sterling values above illustration MA2.
As an Englishman it jarred the senses. Almost started an international incident.
Oh well back to the stamps.
