Actually you can find cork cancels into the 1920s. They are not common that late in time, but they are around.
Edgardo, can you show a scan of the cover ?
Hello:
Please can anyone help me with any information about this cancellation applied on a cover circulated from Honduras to France via USA?
This cork (negative square) cancellation was applied in Mobile, Al. in 1911 , as a paquebot mail, while in transit to France. I understand by this time all cork/fancy cancellations were out of use in USA. Why was this still in use at Mobile?
I have a second cover with the same treatment the same year.
Thanks,
Edgardo
