Eric, I changed my profile pic back to 292, my original StampoRama avatar, in honor of your achievement. Nice!! I hope to follow in your footsteps this next year. Like you, I have been in awe of this stamp since my youth.
Congratulations!

Steve, thank you sir. And you can't go wrong with that avatar! Perfect. Your avatar appears to be a gem version of the stamp -- maybe if we win the lottery?
You're quite welcome. IMHO, the only thing my avatar is missing is a nice cancellation. That's where your purchase is much nicer!

Fantastic job Eric! You made a great choice; that's a lovely example. I love how the bull in the foreground is virtually untouched by the cancel. Beautiful stamp.

Congratulations!
Dear All,
Wonderful to see tough spots filling in-question for you all-have you exhausted the swapping potential before committing to $ to do the job? I raise this point to urge you all to reach out to those into your particular specialty to see if indeed there might not be some dups about that can be traded off. I speak from recent experience doing exactly that in the U.S.Advanced category. Very satisfying results all around.
Best,
Dan C
Congratulations! Nothing beats picking up a nice example of a stamp you've long admired.
I have admired #292 since I was a teenager. Finally, after starting to collect again, won auction on eBay for $247.10. A fair bit of gold for my budget, but no regrets. Safely in album, and now other open spots call out for love -- like #1.
Cheers!
Eric
