When the image is too large to post, is there a quick way to compress the image? just learning here

With windows 10,(and most windows versions) any pic stored in your computer can be resized by right clicking on the image, then left click on edit, then left click on resize. You'll have a choice of inches or pixels, I use pixels. Typically 600-800 pixels on the width. (it will automatically adjust the height) When your done, be sure to go to the top and left click on file, then left click on save.
