The USA item is a post office seal. They are listed in the Scott US Specialized Catalog. Depending on the paper type: OXF1, OXF2, or OXF3. These are "Registry Seals", and were designed to help prevent tampering of registered mail. (Issued 1872 through 1880)
The two stamps on the bottom are postage due stamps from Switzerland.
Thanks Michael.
First there is this large US stamp of some kind that I can't find anywhere in my Scott Specialized. It's hard to see but I believe that the vertical lettering says registered. And then these 2 others that are clearly not from the U.S. and look British to me. I have no world wide catalogue. I will appreciate any help. Thanks, ccndd
