Just received an envelope from Hong Kong and I must admit I was very intrigued as I couldn't imagine who was writing to me from there.

Turns out it was a letter from Stanley Gibbons waxing lyrical about auctions in HK and suggesting I buy from Gibbons if I was interested in buying Chinese stamps. It didn't bother me that it was a sales pitch I thought it was quite well done (plus I got a HK stamp :-), but I was wondering if anyone else had received one of these? I've bought a few things from them in the past so that's how they got my address but how many of these have they sent out? Hundreds? Thousands?

On the whole Gibbons seem to have really upped their game when it comes to marketing and not before time really considering the share price drop over the last year or so!
