Welcome to Stamporama. We are a fun and very interesting group.
Welcome to SOR Emily and also the wonderful world of stamp addiction. Most stamp collectors, like me, have a hard time distinguishing between their favorite stamps, because they fall in love with a new stamp every other day. The good thing is there are millions to choose from so we shouldn't run out of choices for quite a while.

Welcome! Glad you're enjoying your new hobby!
Like Mike, above, my favourite stamps tend to vary every few weeks, depending on which part of my collection I am working on. But you asked for a favourite, so I'll post this one. What do you think?
It shows the city of Frunze (as it was called back in 1958 when the stamp was issued), a newly-designed metropolis far in the south-eastern reaches of the Soviet Union. I love the perspectives, the deserted boulevards save for isolated people and two vehicles. Was a city ever that empty?
Well, I've just been on Wikipedia, that invaluable asset to stamp collectors. The city is now called Bishkek, the country Kyrgyzstan. Look at it now!
Has it really changed at all, in 60 years! So much space under that cloudless sky!
Stamps can transport you anywhere in the world. Enjoy your hobby.
Hello everyone I will officially introduce myself!!!
My name is Emily, I am a Mary Kay beauty consultant and I work in retail. I am at school for deaf studies as well. I just got into stamps a week ago and have already almost sorted my first box!! I am so excited to get started with this addiction (which it already is). I have found so many awesome stamps, my favorite I wish I could display but I am on my phone is the pink Lincoln. The person who collected for mine used thay to send time stamped ones and kept them. It's so cool I will post them later. What is your favorite?
