Perhaps the generous benefactor didn't want a thank you having done an act for the warm feeling it generated for him, or her.
I often send people some stamps I see them bidding on (possibly losing) and n the flip side have received some unexpected items a well. Now usually I include my name and so far all similar surprises have had a name as well so I never had your initial problem, but it could happen.
I enjoy visualizing the surprise people get when some envelope arrives "Out of the blue".
Yes that Is exactly what happened..... No name but it is amazing what you can find out with an address and google....I will have stamps to surprise him as well
A kind stamporama friend from the Netherlands just sent me my missing Denmark stamps and a few surprises but alas there is no name on the return address. Thankyou But please send me a message so that I can personally thankyou I love mysteries but like to solve them as well
