Is the guy in Flushing the same as the guy in Rego Park?
Have you looked at the APS stamp store?
Yeah, you're probably thinking of the same guy. Has a nice, if dated. website.
I bought from him for years. Out of maybe twenty or so orders, I think all but a couple were short. He had a habit of sending incomplete sets. I'd email and he'd send the missing ones, I think he got as tired of me as I was of him. On my last order he left out nearly $20 of ordered items, I notified him and then followed up and he told me he'd mailed the missing stamps. I am sure he didn't, he was just trying to get rid of me. It worked.
A former president of Rossica- back when I belonged- warned me about him. He was right.
Have you looked at the auctions and or approvals on this site ?
A lot of the stamps I am looking for are in the $10-50 range, sets and singles. I have not looked at the selection on here for awhile but as I recall I didn't see a lot that was of interest to me. Maybe I need to look again. Thanks.
"I simply cannot find many dealers offering Russian stamps"...
Question: Russia or Soviet Union?
Let's say, that for Russia, You will have "hard time", as there are left only few reliable suppliers from Moscow, and they are really expensive.
My stock are mostly limited to "want-list" filling, and not approval, but if You have want-list, I can see if something is available.
For Soviet Union, I know some people in Slovakia, but they are not for "long-term" cooperation, as they work "as have time", and value material more than 60% Michel catalog.
Worst of all, no one will supply used material, so what to say, except, tell me exactly what You need.
best regards
Miloje
I simply cannot find many dealers offering Russian stamps, other than on Ebay. Anyone know of one you've had good luck with? Am looking for someone who can fill want lists, have a lot of spaces to fill. Collect mostly used. All I can find are those selling high powered stuff, mint NH stuff into high two figures.
Before anyone suggests the guy in Rego Park, NY- he is out. I burned bridges with him after years of shoddy service, shorting me on orders, etc. He's the only dealer I know who has a website with a shopping cart.
Any help appreciated.
